The Benefits of Flamerite Electric Fires over Traditional Fires

Image
Although established in 1999 the   Flamerite Fires   completed its journey of success by leaps & bounds thanks to its innovative and award-winning   electric fires,   electric stoves   and   electric suites. It was the passion and original ideas of the founding directors that introduced the revolutionary and everlasting innovative designs of the   Flamerite electric fires   which let them shatter the old-fashioned design industries of electric fires and Flamerite emerged as the new giant in that industry. It is a crystal clear reality that every single homeowner loves to have a warm and comfortable environment in the Scandinavian   winters, but   very few can afford the huge expenses that traditional fireplaces cost for their installation, maintenance and the fuel used. On the other hand,   Flamerite fires   cover all the expenses with their highly functional   electric fires   as you won’t need to spend extra money on the installation which you might have to do in case of

The Difference Between Balanced and Conventional Flue Fireplaces

What is Conventional flue fires Conventional flue gas fires   (or open combustion gas fires) must always be connected to a chimney in order to function safely and correctly. Air is drawn from the surrounding living area and combined with draught air from the chimney for combustion. Waste gases are then expelled up the chimney and into the atmosphere. Conventional flue gas fires can be open-fronted or glass-fronted, although most modern gas fires are glass-fronted. This is because a fire behind  the glass  is safer and more energy efficient than an open fire .   Ventilation points are needed at the front of the fire to capture the air flow and to assist in the convection of the radiant heat. Ventilation openings are also required in the outside facing walls of the living room to facilitate effective air flow and ensure comfort and safety. Conventional flue gas fires include fireplace inserts that are installed directly into a standard 22” UK chimney opening, letter-box

Which Fire is Good For me, Gas Fire or Wood Burning Fire

Capacity When choosing a gas or wood burning fire or stove, you must take the capacity into account. The average sized UK living room only requires 3-4 kilowatts (kW) to heat adequately, and it can be problematic if the user chooses a gas or wood burning fire or stove with too high a capacity. This is because the room would rapidly become too hot, and if the fire is to be enjoyed then it would need to be kept on a low setting, which can lead to combustion and emissions issues in wood burning fire and stoves, and a low, unimpressive flame in gas burning fires and stoves. There is a simple calculation that can be done to determine the appropriate capacity for your room. First, you need to calculate the area of the room, multiplying the length, width and height. You should then determine which of the three categories below your room fits into. Category A is for rooms that are well insulated, with good floor and wall insulation, and have double-glazed windows. Category B is for
